fix Database Connection

When the Software don´t find the Database connection you receive a error Message like that:

This new Tool will help you to find out where the Database is located:
Connection_String_Service_Tool
Try first if the Database is not running
- Please Start the application
- Enter the Password "sqlMEEpw_01"
- "Select folder" where smartSOFTmee is installed (Default C:\MEE\smartSOFTmee
- Press the button "Load and Decrypt connection String"
- Now you see the location where the Database is Stored, in this case "localhost" (Local Computer) and the instance is "SQLEXPRESSMEE" (It´s default)
- Please Open now the Server in the case it is not localhost!
- Find now out if the Database is running,
- go to Windows search and enter "services" (Services can be used in every Windows language)
- select "services"
- Search for "SQL Server SQLEXPRESSMEE" and make a right mouse click and Start the Service (In some cases the Server name can also be different)
- Try now again if the Software is Starting
When not, Try that
Select another Database (sometimes after Update the wrong DB is selected)
- Please Start the application
- Enter the Password "sqlMEEpw_01"
- Press "Find SQL Server"
- Please select the available Server (When there is no Server, the SQL Server is not Running, SQL Server is not Installed or there is no connection to the Network SQL Server
- After selection press "find SQL Database" , enter the User Name "sa" and the password "sqlMEEpw_01" in some older Installations password is "sqlMEEpw01"
- Now you will find the list with available Databases
- Please select the Database and and Press the "Write to Spiro.exe.config", here you can selsect the folder when it is not default and press confirm
- Try to Run the Software now.
What you need to know about MEE Databases
- From 2.19.23 you have the Database Spirometry.2019-04-11 or Spirometry.2022-01-14
- From 2.19.23 on the Database is Updated when you Start the Software first time, Please note that you also can activate that check any time.
- Please use this Tool everytime after an Update!
- To move Patient Data from one to another Database you can use this Tool Merging Tool
