1 Setting up a practice computer connection
1.1 Explanation of a practice computer connection
In order to be able to exchange patient and measurement data by means of BDT or GDT between the MEE program and the medical software, the option"GDT" must be activated at the respective measuring point. This option allows the patient data such as name, ID number, date of birth, size, weight to be transferred from the doctor's program and returned numerical measurements or a PDF report to the patient's index card after the measurement has finished.
1.3 The transfer mechanism
1.3.1 Import of patient data
When the lung function is called up in the doctor's software, the doctor software generates a BDT or GDT file with the required patient data and write it to an import directory. The path details for this directory and the name of the import file can be freely defined via the corresponding setup mask. By default are InputPath=C:-MEE-smartSOFTmee-inand InputMask=*. bdt or *. gdt.
You can access the setup in the program via SETUP->Cofiguration->Interface
To call MEE from your practice system, the master data file must be placed in the import directory and the application C:'MEE'smartSOFTmee'spiro.exe be started by the medical software.
The MEEprogram then starts with the passed personal data. If the doctor's software does not provide information about size and weight, these values must now be entered manually.
A measurement can only be carried out once the patient data has been fully entered.
1.3.2 Export of measurement data
After carrying out the desired measurement(s), the measured values can be exported to the doctor's program. For this it is only necessary to perform a printout on the GDTexport. All new measurements are then exported automatically. The drop path and file name for exporting the measurement results can also be set in the setup. Preliminaryare the export path C:-MEE-smartSOFTmee-out and the dateamen daten.gdt or export.bdt.
All settings in the configuration files apply only locally. It is therefore easily possible to customize the input and output paths for each workstation.
